Thebes, blocks of the vizier Panehesy ('the Nubian')

The provenance of the two blocks is not known. A tomb chapel (like that of Nebwenenef ?) at Thebes seems probable. The origin Memphis/Saqqara seems unlikely, because the blocks are made from sandstone, whereas in Memphis limestone is the common building material. The blocks are inscribed with chapter 125b of the Book of the Dead. in which the tomb-owner declares his innocence of a series of sins (in the lower register) before a series of deities (in the upper register).
