Thebes, example of tomb paintings in the Petrie Museum

Many private tombs of the New Kingdom in Thebes are rock cut tombs, carved in the desert on the west bank of Thebes. The quality of rock is not very good, therefore many of the chapels - part of the tombs - are decorated with paintings instead of relief. The exact provenance of the fragments in the Petrie Museum is not known.
