Homer

Homer (about second part of the eight century BC). is regarded as the oldest Greek author, as the man who composed the two classic epic works the Illiad and the Odyssey, the most widely attested pieces of ancient Greek literature. These compositions are also by far the most common literary works found on papyri of the Roman Period in Egypt.
