Furniture in the Old Kingdom (about 2686-2181 BC)

In the Old Kingdom it was not a custom to place objects of daily use (including furniture) into the tombs. Therefore only a few examples of Old Kingdom furniture have survived. The scenes in the mastabas give a better idea of Old Kingdom furniture.
