Wooden writing boards

A common writing ground are wooden boards, covered with plaster. They are known since the Old Kingdom (about 2686-2181 BC) . Many examples were found in Theban tombs, where they were placed as burial good.

These two examples are from the Middle Kingdom (about 2025-1700 BC).
