Fragment of a waterclock: UC 55487

Basalt fragment from middle of wall of water-clock (depsydra), marked on interior with two circles above a djed-pillar, left, and three circles above a was-sceptre, right, as time-markers. On the exterior are incised three registers, with traces only in the lowest, a line of hieroglyphs reading from right to left, and above two vertical lines of hieroglyphs between two scenes of deities, on the right a goddess holding a sceptre facing right, on the left a king with bull-tail offering to left-facing deity on maat-pedestal and vertical line behind, toes of feet indicated.
