The inscriptions on the figure's left side identify the man as 'the one who follows his lord in his travels Nebseny', and add 'it is his son who causes his name to live Neferte (?)'; that on the right invokes Mont lord of Armant, suggesting that the statuette comes from the Armant/Thebes region.
