Building in Ancient Egypt

Three of the main types of wall construction

wall made from fieldstones and mortar, common in all periods
wall, one or two blocks thick, used for separating rooms or in small buildings.
Freestanding and higher walls have a core of rough blocks. In the New Kingdom these are sometimes blocks from older buildings.
